If a company follows the first in, first out methodology, it assigns the earliest cost incurred to the first unit sold from stock. A more accurate method is to track each inventory item as it moves through the warehouse and production areas, and assign costs at a unit level.ĬOGS can also be impacted by the cost flow assumption used by a business. At the least accurate level, it can be a simple calculation of adding purchases to beginning inventory and then subtracting ending inventory, though that approach requires an accurate ending inventory count. There are several ways to calculate COGS. Selling, general and administrative costs are not included in the cost of goods sold instead, they are charged to expense as incurred. Factory overhead is a largely fixed cost, and is allocated to the number of units produced in a period. Nonetheless, direct labor is considered a part of the cost of goods sold. Direct labor can be considered a fixed cost, rather than a variable cost, since a certain amount of staffing is required in the production area, irrespective of production levels. Only the direct materials cost is a variable cost that fluctuates with revenue levels, and so is an undisputed component of the cost of goods sold. The main categories of costs included in COGS are direct materials, direct labor, factory overhead, and production supplies. The cost of goods sold includes the costs of all items that are directly or indirectly associated with the production or purchase of goods that have been sold. The concept can also be applied to the provision of services, where COGS refers to the cost of the labor provided to customers. The gross margin percentage is a useful tool for analysts, who can plot it on a trendline to see if a business is maintaining its margin over time. It is subtracted from net revenues in order to arrive at the gross margin generated by a business. COGS is the cost of those goods associated with product sales. ![]()

Veldanava used the last of his old body's power to create a sibling for Milim, a baby dragon that would serve as her companion so that she never had to be lonely as he had. The creation of Milim resulted in most of Veldanava's energy being taken away and his body destabilizing. Eventually, Veldanava and Rudra's sister Lucia fell in love and consummated their relationship, conceiving Milim Nava in the process. He met Ramiris and Guy Crimson, whose powers had already started to reach a level that could potentially stand against his, and assigned them special positions called "Administrators" that gave them the authority to speak on his behalf, leaving the planet and humanity in their care.Īt some point, he came into contact with the royalty of the Nasca Kingdom, taking in their crown prince Rudra as his disciple and training him to be a Chosen Hero who could stand equal with the Demon Lord Guy, even giving him Michael so he could better fulfill his dream of a unified world. Veldanava isolated parts of his divine authority over creation into seven powerful Ultimate Skills called the Seven Virtues and started to divvy them up to those he considered worthy, passing the rest into the cycle of reincarnation to choose their own masters while leaving only Michael for himself. With an abundance of different races and cultures quickly populating the entire planet, the gears of fate began to be put in motion. The Humans that Twilight created were spread across the numerous other universes to ensure variety in the cultures they developed, while Veldanava ordered his first and foremost subordinate Feldway to eliminate threats to humanity and ensure they could thrive. Twilight returned to the drawing board and eventually created Humans and their many sub-species-later known as Demi-Humans-which, while not being immortal like Veldanava wished, were enough to satisfy his desires and made him overjoyed. The Vampires had the immortality that Veldanava sought, but their reliance on blood and intolerance to sunlight made them unsuited for populating the earth. but their massive egos and self-destructive tendencies made them failures. The High Humans possessed mortal but lengthy life spans and an innate capacity for knowledge and magic. To solve this, Twilight used their powerful intellect and created two species based on its own body. Twilight was a perfect being who lacked any concept of gender and was incapable of traditional reproduction. To facilitate the upbringing of this race of immortal men, Veldanava first created a founding being that he named Twilight Valentine to serve as the template and ancestor to them. At the center of it all was the Central World, which Veldanava planned to populate with powerful and immortal spirits bearing flesh, a race of godly men. Using the power of the Great Holy Spirits and Imaginary Collapse, Veldanava began to construct many multitudes of Worlds, with varying natures and differing laws. He took command of the eight Great Holy Spirits, powerful and pure elemental forces without wills, and created for himself seven servants to assist him from the Great Holy Spirit of Light. Veldanava awoke in the Place of Beginning and began working to finish the construction of the worlds. Finding the idea of knowing everything that would happen before it happens unsatisfying, it decided to give up its 'Omnipotence' and 'Omniscience' and what remained afterward was Veldanava, a being with the creator's will but existing as part of creation rather than something beyond it. After making the groundwork for its construction, reality, it realized that it would know everything that would ever come to pass within it. It took to work creating a grand construction with space for the wills to occupy and time so they could experience events sequentially. ![]() So it came up with the idea of creating other wills to sate its boredom. ![]() ![]() Inevitably, this will grew bored, very bored. He keeps her stocked with Marlboro cigarettes and she keeps the fridge full of fruits (blueberries are his favourites). Young and Jaehee, in their early days, look out for one another. This is also a novel full of charming details. Translated elegantly and beautifully by Anton Hur, Love in the Big City considers how we live our lives when time is ticking, when there is fun to be had and things to be seen when there are things to fear and people who want to hurt us. It is not a story with a view to entertaining us. To really get the most out of Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982, one of the most powerful Korean novels, it’s important to first understand the novel’s purpose. It is a book that brings to light the everyday misogyny, sexism, ignorance, aggression, bias, and abuse (both active and passive) that women in South Korea (and, of course, the world over) suffer and do their best to survive in this modern world. Everything you may have heard about Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 being an impactful and important piece of feminist fiction is true. This condition is what initially introduces us to her character, and it is a very clear statement to the reader that Kim Jiyoung speaks for every ordinary woman of 20 th and 21 st Century South Korea. The book begins with her being given an appointment with a psychiatrist in 2016 after she has developed a disturbing condition wherein she impersonates the voices of, and embodies the personalities of, the women in her life both alive and dead. It traces the life of a single woman from early childhood to marriage and motherhood. Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982can be seen as the novelisation of the lived experiences of every ordinary Korean woman for the past forty years. Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982is a novel that has achieved so much, done so much good, and is now finally available to English-speaking readers. The novel has sold over a million copies in its native South Korea, has been adapted into a successful Korean film, and has been a huge spark for the fires of the #metoo movement in South Korea. If you want to take away, or add to the above, you can do. I’ve done it that way to demonstrate that you can be free with rhythm and place these extra strums wherever you see fit or wherever you think sounds good. You’ll also notice that my placement of the developed rhythm seems somewhat random in terms of placement. The strums at those parts will last half as long because you now have to squeeze two strums (the down and the up) into the same amount of space. Now, at times, you’re playing two strums over that “and” instead of just the one. To expand, the strums were (and still are) falling on the “and” parts of the bar.
